State of California: Radiological Health Branch
The Radiologic Health Branch is within the Food, Drug, and Radiation Safety Division of the
Department of Health Services. It is responsible for providing public health functions associated
with administering a radiation control program. This includes licensing of radioactive materials,
registration of X-ray-producing machines, certification of X-ray and radioactive material users,
inspection of facilities using radiation, investigation of radiation incidents, and surveillance
of radioactive contamination in the environment.

Energy Agency (IAEA)
Serves as the world's central inter-governmental forum for scientific
and technical cooperation in the nuclear field
Southwestern Low-Level Radioactive
Waste Commission (SWLLRWC) The Southwestern Low-Level Radioactive
Waste Commission is the governing body for the Southwestern Low-Level
Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact. Its main function is controlling
the import and export of low-level waste into and out of the region.
Cal Rad Forum
An association of public and private institutions and corporations
that use radioactive materials and generate low-level radioactive
waste in the four-state Southwestern Low-Level Waste Disposal Compact
region. Cal Rad Forum's primary interest is the safe management
and disposal of low-level radioactive waste.
RadSafe
The Radiation Safety Distribution list is a mailing list for Health
Physicists, Medical Physicists, Radiological Engineers and others
who have a professional interest in matters related to Radiation
Protection.

(CFR)
National Archives and Record Administration site for the Electronic
Code of Federal Regulations. Allows you to search through particular
sections of the CFR using keywords.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is an independent agency
established by the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974 to regulate
civilian use of nuclear materials.
